SP4 System Architecture

In very constrained equipment, it is not easy to have a complete operating system. The usual approach is to propose minimal system which imposes to the programmer rudimentary abstractions. An expertise is necessary to be able to apprehend the programming of such systems. Our approach is to propose a JavaOS based architecture where the whole of the J2SE API is available. The system and specially the communication stack are then specialized according to the need for the applications in order to be able to be loaded in the sensor. A very detailed attention will be given to the communication layer and especially to the hard/soft interface which must be optimized in particular for the small targets.
