Dolphin Project

The French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control, INRIA, offers permanent research positions for junior and senior researchers that want to join INRIA projects. The DOLPHIN project, from the "INRIA Lille - Nord Europe", is pleased to invite researchers interested in DOLPHIN to apply.

Scientific context:
The objective of the DOLPHIN (Discrete multi-objective Optimization for Large scale Problems with Hybrid dIstributed techNiques) project is the modelization and resolution of large multi-criteria combinatorial problems using parallel and distributed hybrid techniques. Cooperation of methods (exact methods and metaheuristics, for instance) is one of the important issue as well as GRID enabled optimization. The project involves 5 permanent researchers and 7 PhD Students.
Members of the project are actively participating to international manifestations in Operations Research, Evolutionary Computation, Multi-objective Optimization, and parallel computing.

Key words:
- Combinatorial optimization (exact method and metaheuristic)
- Multi-objective optimization
- Parallel and distributed optimization

Localization of the team:
Members of the Dolphin project are belonging to the OPAC (www.lifl.fr/OPAC) research team of the Computer Science Laboratory of Lille - LIFL (France).
Lille, is an european metropole with 100 000 students for one million inhabitants.

To apply:
Deadline for requesting application forms: 18 February 2008.
