7th International Conference
on
Artificial Evolution
(EA'05 - Evolution Artificielle 2005)
October
26-28 2005, Lille, France
Following EA’03
in Marseille, the 7th International Conference on
Artificial Evolution EA'05 will take place in Lille (France),
hosted by University Lille 1.
Topics of interest : Authors are invited to
present original work relevant to artificial evolution, including but
not limited to:
- Evolutionary
Optimization, Evolutionary Computation, Co-evolution,
- Artificial Life,
Population Dynamics,
- Theory vs
algorithmics and modelling, Implementations,
- Application of
evolutionary paradigms to the Real World (industry, biology,...)
- Applications to
biosciences, bioinformatics, understanding and treating diseases, drug
design and pharmaceutical industry
- Other
biologically-inspired paradigms (swarm, ants, artificial immune
systems, ...).
- Memetic algorithms,
multi-objective optimization, constraint handling, parallel algorithms
- Machine Learning
and hybridization with other soft computing techniques.
Submission procedure : Electronic submission in
pdf or postcript format (via the website) is strongly encouraged. Paper length should not exceed 12 pages
in Springer LNCS format. A model style file for LaTeX (our favorite) is
available on the conference Web site, where Microsoft users will also
find a link to a Word template. Submitted papers will be reviewed
by at least three members of the international Program Committee.
Publication : All accepted papers will be presented at
the Conference (20mn single track oral presentation + 10mn for questions
and discussion, in order to promote interactions among participants),
and published in the conference proceedings, available at the
conference. If quality permits, a selection of the best papers will
further be published by an international publisher, as happened for the
previous issues (Springer Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science 1063,
1363, 1829, 2310, 2936).
Venue: The city of Lille
is very easily accessible (45mn from Paris CDG Airport, 1h from Paris,
35mn from Brussels, 1h35 from London by high speed train). And as in the
previous editions, the conference will keep very low registration fees
(less than 200 EURO/USD, banquet included) while nevertheless offering
outstanding ambiance.

committee : E-G.Talbi (Université de Lille 1),
P. Liardet (Université de Provence), P. Collet (Université du Littoral),
C. Fonlupt (Univ. du Littoral), E. Lutton (INRIA Rocquencourt), M.
Schoenauer (INRIA Futurs).
